The QUEEN!!!
A couple weeks have passed, now, and as there is much to share about, i will begin with a celebration of life. We got to experience one of the most amazing things this past week, the Queens "Diamond Jubilee"- which means she has been on the throne for 60 years. We are here and have been able to experience the whole nation celebrating one person, one life, one reign. It was really cool to see everyone in their british attire celebrating all together. During the parade there was 4 million people, shoulder to shoulder, that surrounded the Thames river to just get a glimpse of the Queen. When i saw that it made me think of Jesus and all the people that went out of their way to get a glimpse of him. It is so shocking to me that a simple human means that much to have 4 million people take the time to stand in the rain and cold to see her.
Aside from celebrating the history and culture of England, this time has given us the opportunity to grow our bond as a team; something, we feel, is vital to our ministry. Without Unity, Love, and support for one another, how can we represent Christ to others?
To begin building relationships and sharing Christ, we are involved every Tuesday with "Free Coffee and Cake Mornings." IT is really awesome all the people we come in contact with during this time. We are doing this with The London Family Center Church, which is convenient because we have a place to eventually invite the individuals to. The church has been at the this location for a few years and they are now trying to reach out to the locals and let them know they are here to help with anything. I know that they all have great hearts and are excited about what is happening every Tuesday morning. We are excited about the people we are meeting and we are going to try and get a group of them to start something at our house. Just a discussion time and getting to know them. We are really wanting to get something together that would be a weekly thing. Maybe not specifically a Bible study, but hoping that it could evolve into something of the sort. We will see how long it takes to get something off the ground but hopefully something soon.
There is so much that is going on, we just have to sort it out. We have lots of contacts that, every week, we are meeting up with and talking to about more things we can get involved in. It means so much that all of you have been praying and supporting us. We all know that we are suppose to be here and God is already doing stuff in each one of our lives. Please continue to pray for our plans and support. We are all still in great need of finances to do what God has called us to do. Thank you for all the prayers we know God is here and going to do awesome things within and through us.
